This is the beginning.  I know nothing about blogging except that I really enjoy reading about other people's day to day experiences and discovering that it truly is a small world. This is a new year and a time to start new things:planning my next adventure in Paris and wondering about this retirement thing and what my second year will bring.

The highlight of my first year was celebrating my graduation from the Cours de la Civilisation Française de la Sorbonne atop the Eiffel Tower with my mother and sister. This was my 60th birthday present to myself. Not sure what comes next. There are so many choices.  It is really the most free and exciting decade so far!

  1. Congratulations on your graduation. Good luck with your new blog.

Paris is so beautiful. But so is B.C.

I hope you find much to write about.

  2. Sounds like you are going to be having quite an adventure!
Blogging about your travels and experiences is a wonderful way to share with us.

  3. The only one in this photo who could possibly be 60 is the woman on the right? But then I'm also assuming, through the process of elimination, that that must be your mother and the other two women yourself and your sister. Help! I can't do the math . . . it does look as if everyone is having a lovely time!

    1. I'm the one in the middle (60). My mother is 80.As it was the only time that the 3 of us have travelled together, it was a truly wonderful time.

    2. Wow! You've obviously got genetics on your side -- your mother looks fabulous for 80, and it's tough to believe that you're 60! Brava! How lovely to have been able to spend that time together, your sister, your mother, and you. Lucky!
