Planning for Autumn

travel option

I am resolved to travel to Paris next week with my smallest size suitcase. I've been playing with colour and I've decided that khaki, black and pink/rose/burgundy are my colours. Having made the decision, my accessories, shoes and bags fall into place.

This outfit will work very well for traveling or for cooler weather. It will be September so a range of temperatures can be expected. I'm using my multicoloured Longchamps bag as my extra on travel days and using my smaller green purse frequently. I find that my shoulders which are narrow and sloping get tired when I carry heavy purses. My wallet, iPhone, tissues, sunglasses and a lipstick are all that I will need to carry on a daily basis.
a few accessories will help
I've got my pearl seed pod earrings, a bangle bracelet and my pearl necklace, an autumnal scarf, a pair of Naot oxfords and my sunglasses to dress up my meagre wardrobe. I will need another pair of black or burgundy shoes.

I'm so happy that we have rain and cooler temperatures. Early autumn and early spring are my favourite transition times. I love autumnal colours. Yesterday, I changed my door wreath and "cosied
up" my bedroom. Tomorrow, I'm going to plant some colourful plants in the parking lot gardens.

This is the season of new plans. I'm preparing for some substitute teaching when I return home since I realized that I enjoy being in school. I will choose my assignments and times to accommodate my other activities. I'm bidding on some shifts at the Vancouver Writers' Festival.  The themes of migration and reconciliation are being featured and I know that I will enjoy reading some new books
and listening to some authors speak.
a few of the choices

This fall, I plan to do more writing. I've enrolled in a writing workshop in Port Townsend, Washington. I love Port Townsend with its wooden Victorian houses and active literary community.
I made an impulse registration in the spring because there are only 14 places in the workshop which includes beginners and experienced writers.

J'aime beaucoup la rentrée!

Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns. George Eliot
