Cool Dressing

We have enjoyed warmer temperatures for the last few days. I've walked about the village to visit the shops and library. It's been quite busy as they are shooting a movie in Steveston right now. Storefronts have been changed and the streets are lined with cars from the 1940's. Steveston is well-known as the setting for the Storybrooke series.

This dress is very cool.

During the summer, I like to wear dresses. Summer is an opportunity for me to dress like a garden or for a garden party. This year, pink and green are my colours. No, I did not go out and buy all new clothes! I "shop my closet" and find an assortment of dresses that can be worn interchangeably.
Shoes, hats and bags fall in place with my selections. This  dress is designed and manufactured in Australia by Orientique Naturally. I bought it in Steveston.

Soft green (like stems and leaves) seems to suit the summer weather.

Sometimes, I wear this tencel dress with leggings but the weather is too warm right now so it's bare legs and Josef Seibel sandals. It is a Canadian designer, Renaur, bought in Steveston.

Sometimes I like to dress up for an event.
I bought this linen dress by Angela Mara, an Italian company, in Steveston as well. Many Italian
linen items are being sold locally this summer. The quality is not always consistent but the price is reasonable and the styles are comfortable.

I enjoy visiting my local shops. I have known all of the shopkeepers for decades and I browse frequently.

On my way home, I stopped and bought a small chunk of Wensleydale cheese with orange and cognac. I crumbled a bit into this morning's egg white omelette. Life is sweet!

Just imagine becoming the way you used to be as a very young child, before you understood the meaning of any word, before opinions took over your mind. The real you is loving, joyful, and free. The real you is just like a flower, just like the wind, just like the ocean, just like the sun. Don Miguel Ruiz
